In the Garden, Bush Green Bean plants are giving me handfuls daily. (I evidently left some pods out from last season and they sprouted themselves 😁) I would put the handfuls into a glass container with a tight lid until I had enough to cook up for a meal. Diced Onion and Garlic, a tsp of bacon grease or ham and its drippings froze from Christmas or Easter Hams, Salt and Pepper, and just enough water to cover.
Or I also would toss with either Avocado Oil or Olive Oil with minced Garlic, Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper and Roast in the oven til tender.
But, today, I was hankering for a Cream Base…I boiled up Medium Pasta Shells. In a Medium Pan I put a pat of Butter, diced Onion and Garlic, One Link of Chicken Apple Gouda Sausage cut in slices, Bite size Green Beans and Frozen Green Peas, and A Splash of Chicken Broth. Put a lid on it and let it simmer til beans were crisp tender. Added the Shell Pasta and about a 1/4 cup of Heavy Cream, salt and pepper to taste. Then let the liquid reduce and thicken with lid off…and well…wa la!
